WeyHaus was host to the revived Monday discussion series this Monday, hosting one of President Obama’s economic recovery house meetings. Look out for more discussion topics Mondays.

This weekend we had a great selection of local cheese and non-local wines selected for us by the incomparable Andy McCabe of Vergennes Wine and Liquors. Look out soon for more on Andy and his wine-lover’s poetry. For now, let’s plug some sweet local cheeses and give you the pairings we worked out based on Andy’s excellent and affordable selection:

Orb Weaver Farmhouse Cheese + Stonier Chardonnay 2005
Vermont Ayr + Maculan Brentino Merlot/Cab 2006
Vermont Brie Camembrie
Lake’s Edge Chevre
Jasper Hill Bleu + Buzzard Tree Paso Robles 2004

All cheeses available at Middlebury Natural Foods Coop. Wines available from Vergennes Wine and Liquors.
